Household recycling centre
If you have extra recycling or rubbish you can take it to the borough's Household Recycling Centre that is located in Shidas Lane, Oldbury, West Midlands, B69 2BP.
The Centre is open every day of the year, including Bank Holidays, except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
Summer opening hours - 1 March to 31 October
- Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm
- Saturday and Sunday 7am to 6pm

Vans or cars with trailers must be booked (see information below) and must be on site before 7pm week days and 4.30pm weekends, after these times you will not be able to use the site.
Please note the centre can be very busy when the weather is mild, to avoid queuing please try and visit early or later in the day.

The centre provides recycling facilities for a wide range of materials. To make visits to the centre easier please sort your recycling before leaving home:

Trade or business waste
Please note that this site is unable to accept any trade waste.
Landlords and other businesses are strictly prohibited from using the centre and all waste deposited at the site is monitored.
The centre is for Sandwell residents to take extra recycling and rubbish from their own homes. Non-Sandwell residents need to dispose of their recycling and rubbish at centres run by their own council.

In order to monitor that traders or businesses are not using the site, please note that the following details apply to residents wishing to access the centre with vans, trailers or larger vehicles.
Vans or trailers
Residents driving vans or towing trailers will need to make an appointment.
Appointments can be made by calling 0121 511 1505, the line is open 9am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday. Please call early in the week to make a weekend appointment.
Please do not call any other number to make an appointment, as council staff are unable to book appointments.
Vans and cars with trailers booked in must be on site before the cut off times indicated in the opening hours shown at the top of this page.
