Equipment
Adaptions to your home
The council provides a wide range of assistance for people with disabilities who need adaptations to remain living in their home. Assistance is available whether you live in your own home, or rent from a private landlord, the council or a Housing Association.
- Specialist equipment such as baths and chairs
- Telecare including remote sensors and alarms
- Minor adaptations such as ramps and grab rails
- More significant works such as lifts and bathroom adaptations
- Re-housing including finding adapted properties and financial assistance to help you move.
The equipment and adaptations service will decide how urgent your need is and arrange for you to be assessed in your home.
If you think these types of assistance could help you, please contact Sandwell Council ASSIST.
