Warrens Hall

Warrens Hall lies on the border of Sandwell and Dudley and has 17 hectares of grasslands, hedgerows, pools, streams and canals. The site is situated high on the Rowley Hills with superb views to the Clent Hills and Shropshire.

The industrial heritage of the site can be appreciated, with Cobbs Engine House and the Netherton Canal Tunnel providing links with the past. Surfaced paths lead to parts of the Reserve.

Fishing is permitted on two of the pools in conjunction with Old Hill Angling Club.

Warrens Hall is adjacent to Dudley MBC`s Bumblehole Local Nature Reserve.

Wildlife

A wide variety of flora and fauna can be found on the Reserve. The pools, streams and canals, together with the meadows, hedgerows and small wooded areas provide good habitat for birds, insects and small mammals.
Location

The main entrance points to Warrens Hall are on Dudley Road (B65 8NA) and Springfield Lane, in the Springfield area of Rowley Regis.

Facilities

There is a small countryside visitor centre with toilet facilities and refreshments which is run by the Friends of Bumble Hole and Warrens Hall.

Parking

A car park is situated on Dudley Road which is open from dawn to dusk. Limited on road parking is available on Springfield Lane.

Transport

Buses run along Dudley Road with stops close to the Reserve. Contact Traveline on 0871 200 22 33 for further details.

Disabled Access

Disabled parking spaces are available at Dudley Road car park, and there is wheelchair access from here and from Springfield Lane entrance onto the Reserve.

Surfaced paths enable wheelchair access to some of the site, but owing to the steep nature of parts of the Reserve, some areas are inaccessible.

Opening

The Reserve is open to the public at all times, however the Dudley Road car park is closed from dusk till dawn.
