Carers

If you are a carer we can offer support in trying to find services that can help you in your caring role. These might include short breaks, emotional support, benefits advice, equipment and adaptations or direct payments.

Children and family care

There are a range of services available for children and their families who may need additional support or protection. This could include services for disabled children, youth support, fostering and adoption.

Disabilities

We provide and arrange a variety of services to improve the lives of people with disabilities. We aim to support and help adults to live independent lives and offer families with disabled children greater choice and access to specialist services.

Fostering and adoption

There are lots of reasons children might need to be looked after, long term or short term, outside the family home. We need foster carers and adopters who can provide a safe and caring home for these children.

Help for adults

If you want some support at home, advice on our services or just a little bit of practical help we are here to help. Contact Sandwell Council ASSIST for all your adult social care needs.

Services for older people

If you or your friend or relative are over fifty then we have a range of services and activities you may find useful. From housing advice to money matters, health to getting involved and keeping active, there is something for you.

Care and community directory

Information Point is a directory of organisations and community groups who can support you with things like help in your home, carers' information, lunch clubs, social activities and long term health conditions.

Living well with dementia

We want to make sure that people with dementia, and their carers, get the support they need early on, and can make plans for the future. There are many services that can help you to live well with dementia.
