Cash for sports clubs

Sports clubs in Sandwell can once again apply for grants from Sandwell Council as part of their Cash for sports clubs scheme.

This is the third round of the scheme which was first launched in 2014. 

Clubs can apply for funding of up to £500 to help with kit and equipment and up to £1,500 to help grow membership and increase the number of Sandwell residents being active. There's also funding available for specialist coaching.

Nearly £50,000 has been handed out as part of Cash for Sports clubs with around 60 sports clubs benefitting. Grants have been used by clubs to help fund new kits and equipment as well as coaching courses and improving the quality of sessions.

We welcome applications from any sports club that can demonstrate they have sound operating procedures in place, either via NGB registration, Clubmark or production of up-to-date constitution, accounts and child protection policy (where applicable).

Clubs who play an active role in their community are encouraged to apply for funds to support the needs of their club and its members.

The timescales for this round of applications will take place between 26 February and 27 April 2017.
